Click Here In the month of April the Harlan County Community Action Agency provided the following services to individuals/families in Harlan County!!

Transportation: 1,912 Medical Trips, 407 To/From Job Trips, 40 Veteran Trips, 55 Other Facility Sponsored Trips, 568 Demand Trips (Grocery store, bank, etc.), and 2 Intercity Trips (To/From and Terminals) TOTAL OF 2,984 TRIPS

Workforce (WIOA): Path To Promise- 7 jobs and 105 total clients served, In-School and Out-of-School Youth- 3 jobs and 21 total clients served, Adult/Dislocated Workers/Community Impact/NEG- 5 jobs and 42 total clients served. TOTAL OF 17 JOBS & 168 TOTAL CLIENTS SERVED

4 WEATHERIZATION APPLICATIONS COMPLETED FOR KCEOC

5 individuals/families who are being provided rental and
electric assistance through the COC program.

1 Goodwill voucher

1 State of Emergency Voucher

ABOUT US

Harlan County Community Action Agency, Inc. (HCCAA), is a private non-profit 501(C)(3) corporation that began on January 21, 1969, for the purpose of eliminating poverty in Harlan County, Kentucky. The overall purpose of HCCAA is to turn hope into reality and make our low-income individuals more self-sufficient. HCCAA gives a voice to the less fortunate and provides services whether in-house or by our community partners. HCCAA provides a multitude of various programs to assist low-income individuals and families to achieve and sustain self-sufficiency and a sense of well-being in the community. HCCAA programs help to provide better everyday living for persons in the service area. Our agency is needed for transportation, utility and security deposits assistance, medicine, child care, youth services, college tuition, weatherization assistance, homeless assistance, etc.
