What is the K-Count?
The U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires an
annual count as a condition for funding for its homeless service programs. The K-
Count allows Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) and other interested parties to
better understand homelessness in Kentucky by monitoring trends and tracking
progress, to make informed decisions for resource allocation.

What Harlan County CAA Needs from you!

Harlan CAA will be distributing donated items to the homeless individuals we encounter on the night
of the K-Count. The CAA needs you to donate the items listed below or donate money for us to use to
buy the items listed below.
**New or barely used items requested for donation:
-Hats
-Gloves
-Scarves
-Blankets
-Socks
-Flashlights
-Hand Warmers
-Free Meal Tickets/Gift Cards to local restaurants
-Non-Perishable Food Items/Bottled Water
-Monetary Donations.
